Sunrise buzzcut and portraits

P contacted me for the first time to book a session, which would take place after she had her long hair buzzcut at the hairdresser. As a buzzcut enthusiast, I suggested that we can do it instead, during the session – first a few photos with the old look, then we do the buzzcut in a nice location, go to our place for a quick shower (short hair drops everywhere and itches unbelievably lot) and continue the session in the morning sun.

To my delight, she jumped in and that’s what we did! The location we chose was the riverbank just outside our home studio, where the sun rose idyllically during our barber session. From there, we continued towards Kupittaa and I can tell you that we had a very peaceful time on a Tuesday morning in July before seven o’clock!

The new look felt and looked just right immediately, I couldn’t be happier to have been a part of this transformation!
